OPC Home Guard Remembrance Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Resumed winning ways in a 7-runner Fakenham handicap (23.4f, soft) on New Year's Day. Mixed bag in 3 subsequent starts and while she will have every chance if on-song, slower ground would be ideal for this 7-y-o.

Fair handicap hurdler with a good record at Fakenham. Safely held away from that venue on last 2 starts, but she resumes from a break on a workable mark and needs considering.

Two of her 3 wins over hurdles have been registered over this C&D and she was a creditable third in a 9-runner Plumpton handicap when last seen in May. Could have a part to play if fully tuned-up following a break.

Largely struggled in this sphere for Warren Greatrex last term, but has improved in handicap chases for present yard, narrowly winning one at Newton Abbot (21f, god to soft) on penultimate start. Misfired here next time, but will be a threat back hurdling if the first-time blinkers give her a lift.

Made the frame all 4 completed starts in handicaps in 2023 and by no means disgraced when fourth of 9 at Hereford on return from a lengthy absence in February. However, she failed to build on that over this C&D since the following month and Malago Rose is presumably the stable No 1.

No worthwhile form to her name so far and another struggle is likely from 15 lb out of the handicap.

Very modest maiden who again has a mountain to climb from a long way out of the weights.
