Promising sort. Third of 11 in maiden (10/1) at Leicester (10f, good) 39 days ago, closing all way to line. This step up in trip will be in her favour and she is hard to oppose.

Timeform
Once-raced maiden. 40/1, last of 4 in maiden at Newcastle (10.2f) on debut 36 days ago. Probably more one for handicaps in due course.

Forecasts

Desert Spring (1/4), Pyleates (7/2), Sovereign Applause (8/1), Ohana (33/1), National Voice (66/1), Montana Dancer (66/1), Ada's Day (150/1)

Verdict

It should be a case of third time lucky for DESERT SPRING, who stepped up on what she showed on her sole 2-y-o start when a close third over 1¼m at Leicester last month, leaving the strong impression that she will benefit from this stiffer test. Pyleates made an encouraging enough start to her career at Kempton and is the clear pick for forecast purposes. Sovereign Applause could be the one to pick up third-place prize money.
