Kelso specialist who made all over 23.4f there in April. Patch form since but this trip looks more suitable than 26.2f last time and he's now 4 lb below that successful mark.

Rather expensive to follow over fences so far, fit from a race at Uttoxeter when third of 4 at Ludlow 3 weeks ago, jumping left. This course will therefore suit and he's been eased a further 2 lb but his profile isn't convincing.

Three chase wins for Matt Sheppard but more miss than hit this season, soon detached from out of the weights at Sedgefield 11 days ago.

Likeable veteran who resumed winning ways at Hexham in June. Struggled to make any impact the last twice but on the plus side, he's back on his last winning mark.

Not a particularly convincing bunch but HALF SHOT is well weighted these days and with this drop back in trip in his favour, he could be the answer. The return to a left-handed track will help Whizz Kid and he's feared most.
