Multiple winner on Flat (stays 17f) but hasn't bettered modest form in finishing fourth on both hurdle starts to date. Will likely be better off in handicaps over longer trips.

Fair form shown to finish in the frame in bumpers at Southwell/Huntingdon but paid for his overexuberance at Warwick last time. No surprise to see a hood added for hurdles debut but remains to be seen if he can settle better on return.

£85,000 Irish point winner has made a bright start under Rules, finishing runner-up in a trio of bumpers, travelled well and found some improvement at Chepstow most recently. Should appreciate this jumping test and he's one for the shortlist.

£28,000 5-y-o, Mount Nelson gelding. Dam unraced. Runner-up on second of 2 starts in Irish points (May 2025) and market should guide expectations on Rules debut.

Sholokhov gelding who showed ability when fourth of 10 in a Newcastle maiden hurdle (16.9f) on debut in February, outpaced before staying on again late. Bred for longer trips but is entitled to step forward from that run.

Walk In The Park gelding finished runner-up in a point and showed a bit when third in a Stratford bumper on Rules debut in July. Will need to build on that to get off the mark here.

Unplaced both starts in points and given a considerate introduction to hurdling at Sedgefield (22/1) earlier this month. Worth a check to see if he features more prominently in the market this time.

Imposing sort won a bumper on debut (followed up with two solid efforts) and made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when third at Perth (16.2f) last month (runner-up won subsequently). Sure to improve and has solid claims to open his hurdles account.

Shaped well when third in a Hereford bumper on debut but yet to progress, sent off a big price when well held on hurdle debut earlier this month. Could be one for handicaps down the line.

Bred to need more time and has shaped accordingly, little immediate promise when well beaten on hurdles bow at Wetherby in February. Best to look elsewhere.

Modest maiden. Half-brother to French hurdle winner/chaser Encore Une Belle and French chaser Estelle (23f-3¼m winner). Dam maiden over hurdles/fences in France. Better effort when fifth on chasing debut on final run for D. Bressou. Market should guide expectations on UK/stable debut.

Lacked the speed to get involved in a Doncaster bumper on debut in January. Now sent hurdling but is likely to need more time and longer trips (yard also saddle Spectacularsunrise).

£70,000 purchase after winning Irish point last spring and she shaped well when third at Fakenham on Rules debut. Could only run to a similar level when fourth at Fontwell next time but she's in good hands and could improve on hurdle debut following wind surgery.

Forecasts

Spectacularsunrise (10/11), Douglas Hyde (13/8), Super Freddie (10/1), Eastern Shores (14/1), Animato (18/1), Cheesy Icon (22/1), Sweeper System (25/1), Killycarn (33/1), New Invention (33/1), Le Beau Gosse (80/1), Peace In The Park (80/1), Saint Polo (100/1), Donttellyamumjack (125/1), L'air Du Large (125/1)

Verdict

SPECTACULARSUNRISE finished an encouraging third on hurdle debut last month and with plenty of scope for improvement, he's fancied to get off the mark over hurdles. Irish point winners Douglas Hyde and Eastern Shores both shaped with promise in bumpers and could improve now hurdling. Stablemates New Invention and Le Beau Gosse make some appeal and the market should offer plenty of clues regarding their chances.
