Landed a third win for Tom Lacey with a smooth success at Newton Abbot (17f) in August but was unable to justify support when fourth in an 8-runner handicap at Worcester (16f) last month. Should be in the mix if back to his best.
Successful in a 4-runner handicap on the Flat here over the summer but form tailed off subsequently. Has won over this C&D but hard to be confident making his first hurdle start since 2022.
Third over this C&D on handicap debut in March but not the first time looked less than straightforward when well held in a 2m novice handicap hurdle at Worcester in May, not persevered with once held. Previous course form gives him a chance if on a going day.
Justified support with a typically enthusiastic front-running success over C&D in May and has finished runner-up 4 times subsequently. Not seen to best effect over a longer trip in a Newton Abbot seller last month and much better expected back over a bare 2m.
Arrives out of sorts, faring no better on first start following a breathing operation (with cheekpieces refitted) when pulled up on reappearance at Newton Abbot last month. Remains to be seen if more severe headgear can spark a resurgence.
Fair maiden on the Flat in France but regressed over hurdles last season. Hard to fancy unless the market suggests an improved showing on return.
Had won his previous two hurdle starts (latest over 18.5f at Newton Abbot in August) prior to not being seen to best effect at Bangor last month, when not suited by the test of speed on a sharp track. Should appreciate a more galloping track on return to 2m.

Forecasts
Gavin (13/8), Turpin Gold (7/4), Baikal (7/2), Estate Planning (10/1), Kotgar (28/1), Silent Revolution (33/1), Cogital (40/1)
GAVIN has plenty in his favour here and is fancied to record another C&D success. Turpin Gold has had a productive season for Tom Lacey and is feared most if back to his best, while Estate Planning isn't one for maximum faith but did run well to finish third on his sole previous start at this track.
