PricedUp Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Off time: 15:54 | Winning time: 5m 44.80s

Sure Touch^t³⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 12-0| J: Lewis Saunders⁽⁷⁾| T: O Murphy| OR: 130| CD

16/5

Summer Plate winner over C&D last July. Hasn't managed to recapture that level since but is a potential class act in this lower grade with his yard in form. Also has a tongue refitted for the first time in nearly 2 years.

Form: P467-05

Lunar Discovery²⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-6| J: Charlie Price⁽³⁾| T: R L Llewellyn| OR: 122

9/2

Dual bumper/hurdles winner for Jimmy Moffatt. 0-5 over fences but she did make a positive start for new trainer Robbie Llewellyn when third of 10 in 2m Uttoxeter handicap chase 4 weeks ago. Big player if able to build on that.

Form: 0322P-3

Malaita¹³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-13| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Mrs M Rowley| OR: 115| D

12/1

Ran well from just of the handicap back hurdling when third in a Pertemps Qualifier at Huntingdon in January but has failed to repeat that form since, albeit a recent outing at Warwick may have been needed after 5 months off.

Form: 73P5-65

Lermoos Legend^p,t²²

Age: 10| Weight: 10-11| J: S Bowen| T: M Bowen| OR: 113| BF| C

9/2

Veteran who has been in cracking form this season, including back-to back wins here (17f) and Fontwell (19.5f). Another creditable effort when fourth back at Fontwell latest but it underlines he needs a bit more from this mark.

Form: 222114

Nickelforce²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-8| J: J M Quinlan| T: B I Case| OR: 110| D

3/1

Won his first 2 starts over fences in 2024/25 and has been shaping up well this season, placing over this sort of trip at Cartmel and Kelso in recent months.

Form: 232432

Chief Black Robe²⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-4| J: Liam Harrison| T: F O'Brien| OR: 106| C| D

9/2

Four-time winner over fences for Fergal O'Brien in 2023. Nowhere near that level over hurdles for Barry Brennan this season but dangerously well handicapped back chasing having rejoined Fergal O'Brien. Interesting to see what the betting makes of him.

Form: P/43525

Forecasts

Nickelforce (3/1), Sure Touch (16/5), Lunar Discovery (9/2), Chief Black Robe (9/2), Lermoos Legend (9/2), Malaita (12/1)

LUNAR DISCOVERY shaped well when third on her Uttoxeter reappearance and can strike at the second time of asking for Robbie Llewellyn. 2024 Summer Plate winner Sure Touch is feared most taking a drop in class.
