Dual hurdles winner who is better known for his chase exploits for present yard, runner-up in 2024 Scottish Grand National. Placed on 2 occasions prior to falling in this year's corresponding race and it's possible he'll come on for this first start for 6 months back over timber.

Proved better than ever to land a double/defy another weights rise (following another breathing operation) when winning an 8-runner handicap at Cartmel in August. Had winning run ended but ran creditably when third at Perth (23.9f) 10 days ago and revised mark demands that bit more.
Essentially been in very good form this summer, racking up a fourth success at Bangor following a break when cosily taking a 7-runner handicap over 23f 30 days ago. 6 lb higher mark to defy now but respected if arriving in same groove.
Kicked off present campaign with success in a 3-runner C&D handicap and, following a pair of lesser efforts, he returned to form when finishing a good third back here 3 weeks ago. Another holding claims with a repeat from what is a competitive mark.
Built on the promise of his stable debut at the second attempt when winning 12-runner handicap hurdle at Perth (26.6f) in April. Nothing wrong with his second place finish over C&D when last seen in May and he returns from a break with his yard still very much amongst the winners.
Losing run stretches back over 2 years and proving more miss than hit when last seen earlier this year, well held last of 13 in handicap hurdle at Haydock (24.3f, good to firm, 14/1) in May. Assessor has afforded him a chance.

Forecasts
Roger Pol (13/8), Wa Wa (4/1), Lipa K (4/1), Supremely West (5/1), Imperial Data (6/1), My Bobby Dazzler (8/1), Surrey Quest (10/1)
No shortage of chances despite the small field with C&D winner ROGER POL given the narrow vote. He returned to form when third over C&D 3 weeks ago and any further forecast rain promises to hold no fears for Jamie Snowden's 7-y-o. Imperial Data is holding his form well for last year's winning stable and is feared. Wa Wa, Supremely West and Bangor scorer Lipa K aren't ruled out either.
