Didn't get his head in front last term but was successful in this contest in 2023 and is now 4 lb lower. Not taken lightly.

Had a good first season over fences in 2023/24, winning 2 of his 5 starts. Couldn't add to his tally last term but has been cut plenty of slack by the handicapper and looks a likely player here.
Three-time winner over fences earlier this term and has continued in good heart since, latest when creditable second of 6 in handicap chase at Stratford (17f, good) 29 days ago. Ought to give another good account.
Capitalised on a falling mark when taking 6-runner handicap chase over C&D (good) 18 days ago, driven out. Just 2 lb higher now and must enter calculations having twice been second in this race (beaten a head last year).
Improved to win at Cheltenham and Plumpton in the spring and acquitted herself well (from 7 lb out of the weights) when fifth of 15 in handicap chase at Market Rasen (21.4f, good) in July. Warrants respect.

Malystic (15/8), Traprain Law (7/2), Tommy's Oscar (7/2), Finest View (7/2), Netywell (7/1), Shakeyatailfeather (8/1)
C&D winner TRAPRAIN LAW wasn't seen to best effect on a number of occasions last term and returns on a handy mark. He makes fair appeal. Tommy's Oscar has won this contest before and is feared most.
