From a good family, but he hasn't shown much in a couple of bumpers and is hard to make a case for now switched to hurdles.
Left previous form well behind when landing a C&D novice on debut for this yard in June. Pulled up next time, though, and while she fared better sent handicapping back here on her latest start, some of the others make more appeal on this occasion.
£16,000 half-brother to useful hurdler/chaser Rock My Way (2½m-3m winner). Made frame on 2 of his 3 starts in Irish points during the spring and is one to note in the betting on Rules debut for a yard among the winners.
Jukebox Jury gelding who was successful sole start in points last year and has shown plenty of promise in this sphere, going close in novice events at Carlisle and Perth, latterly pulling clear of the rest when touched off by an odds-on shot from the Olly Murphy yard. The one to beat.
Half-brother to useful hurdler Ask Ben (2¾m-3m winner) and fair hurdler/chaser Goodgirlteresa (19f/2½m winner). Went close on the second of his 2 starts between the flags, but this 4-y-o will probably come into his own when faced with a stiffer test in due course.
Made the frame first 2 starts in bumpers prior to winning one with a first-time tongue strap fitted at Sedgefield (16.8f, good) where he saw off his sole rival in ready fashion. Very much of interest now switched to hurdles.
Made it third time lucky in Irish points in April and shaped better than the bare result when fifth in a bumper here on Rules debut. However, she hasn't pulled up any trees over hurdles the last twice.
Hasn't shown much in a bumper/2 starts over hurdles and yard saddles a far stronger candidate in Spadestep.

Forecasts
Spadestep (1/4), Frammy (5/1), Getaway Frankie (13/2), Rock Dj (12/1), Captain Ted (40/1), Mystical Martika (66/1), Mornington Beach (80/1), Elusive Warrior (150/1)
It's likely that former point winner SPADESTEP's future ultimately lies over fences, but he looks more than capable of making his mark in this sphere in the meantime judged on his close-calls at Carlisle and Perth during the spring. The 6-y-o is taken to make it third time lucky under Rules, with Sedgefield bumper winner Frammy the clear main danger ahead of point-to-point recruits Rock Dj and Captain Ted.
