Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Miss Eleanor Williams| T: Evan Williams| OR: 65

16/1

Fair 10f Flat winner on all-weather. Has shown ability in hurdles with two third-place finishes earlier this year before being pulled up in 15-runner handicap hurdle at Clonmel (5/2) 136 days ago. First run for new trainer and market should guide on return to Flat racing after long absence.

First Greyed^v¹⁸⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Mr S Burton| T: T Faulkner| OR: 65

40/1

Won last three AW handicaps, most recently first of 9 at Wolverhampton over 8.6f (3/1) 180 days ago by a narrow margin. Returns to turf where he's effective with ease in the ground but does have stamina to prove over this longer trip.

Form: 7/8-8111

(10)

Mambo Beat^p¹⁴⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Amy Tucker⁽³⁾| T: B J Llewellyn| OR: 64| CD

66/1

Winner over this C&D (heavy) for previous connections in 2023. Has been campaigned over hurdles for current yard, latest last of 11 in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las (12/1) 145 days ago. Previous C&D form offers some hope and market should prove informative with yard saddling two other runners.

Form: 300010/

Fiddlers Green⁸¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Miss Iesha Wilding⁽³⁾| T: J G M O'Shea| OR: 59

3/1

Ran well when second at Chepstow on soft ground in June. Won at Kempton Park over 11f (11/1) 81 days ago, resuming winning ways back on AW. Partnered by a jockey seeking a first win under Rules but still looks interesting off this mark, having enjoyed a good spell from similar ratings last year.

Form: 24-5721

(9)

Zambezi Magic^h¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Miss Jessica Llewellyn| T: B J Llewellyn| OR: 58| CD

2/1

Course specialist with 5 wins over this C&D, finished fourth of 12 in handicap at Bath (16/5) 14 days ago, catching the eye staying on well having been left with too much to do. Solid claims returning to this course under one of the more experienced amateur jockeys in this field.

Form: 532714

(7)

Memphis Rose¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 11-1| J: Mr Henry Callan| T: Michael Keady| OR: 62

18/1

Sottsass filly finished second on debut for Diego Dias and again offered something to work with on stable debut last month. Not in the same form on qualifying run when fourth of 6 at Chelmsford (50/1) 17 days ago but could be open to improvement now handicapping over a longer trip.

Form: 234

(3)

Burano Murano⁹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-13| J: Mr J J Murphy-Knight| T: Christian Williams| OR: 60

50/1

Lightly-raced gelding who finished closer than previously when third of 7 in 12f handicap at Ffos Las (12/1) 90 days ago, not ideally placed on final start for Roger Teal. Back in trip on first run for new trainer and has a little bit to find on form.

Form: 0-743

(2)

Kirkuila^p1,t¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 10-10| J: Miss Lily Jones⁽³⁾| T: Faye Bramley| OR: 52

12/1

Finished fourth of 7 in handicap at this C&D (14/1) on stable debut 19 days ago, showing some promise on first Flat run for a couple of years, after poor hurdles form for previous yard. Not ruled out if she can build on that in first-time cheekpieces.

Form: 70990/4

(11)

Beaune^p¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-0| J: Mr Lucas Murphy⁽³⁾| T: B J Llewellyn| OR: 47

4/1

Maiden arrives in form, finished third of 9 in 12f handicap at Thirsk (6/1) 13 days ago, staying on from 2f out but never threatening. Has placed three times at this course and should be competitive again.

Form: 645223

Forecasts

Zambezi Magic (2/1), Fiddlers Green (3/1), Beaune (4/1), Salaria (11/2), Kirkuila (12/1), Oakley (16/1), Memphis Rose (18/1), Serious Look (20/1), First Greyed (40/1), Burano Murano (50/1), Mambo Beat (66/1)

An open-looking handicap. Five-time C&D winner ZAMBEZI MAGIC looks the most solid option having caught the eye when left with too much to do at Bath earlier this month. Salaria was much improved when winning on stable debut at Pontefract 10 days ago and could prove dangerous if settling under today's amateur rider, while Fiddlers Green resumed winning ways at Kempton last time and is still on a workable mark. Memphis Rose could improve up in trip on handicap debut.
