Finished runner-up on 2 of his last 3 starts prior to ending a losing run stretching back to his juvenile days when winning 10-runner handicap at Windsor (6f, good) 20 days ago, staying on to lead close home. Remains with handicapping scope up 3 lb but not an obvious follow-up candidate.

Given a chance by the handicapper and bounced back to best when readily bagging 7-runner C&D handicap on penultimate start last month. Reportedly lost his action when last of 7 in handicap back here 5 weeks ago but his revised mark demands more in any case now.
3-time winner upon joining Ruth Carr last season (all at 7f) who has eased in the weights and he ran well with blinkers fitted when runner-up at Ripon (6f) in August. Probably best not judged too harshly on his latest Doncaster effort and he lurks on a handy mark returned to 7f. Cheekpieces back on.
Winner at Brighton (6f) in June and performed well on 2 of her 3 subsequent runs, worn down late on when second of 7 in handicap at Chester (7f, good) 16 days ago, the increase in trip evidently holding no fears. Should go well again.
Lightly-raced maiden. 9/4, third of 4 in maiden at Ffos Las (7.4f, heavy) 19 days ago, weakening 1f out. Possible the ground was a factor on that occasion and switch to handicaps entitled to suit him better now in any case.
4-time C&D winner who arrives on a long losing run but back on track following a lesser display when 2¾ lengths third of 12 to Kisskodi in handicap (17/2) at this C&D (good) 17 days ago, keeping on. Does need plenty to go right given his style of racing, however.

No shortage of chances in the finale and with that in mind it could pay to take a chance on Ruth Carr's WOODSTOCK. Having gone close at Ripon on his penultimate start, it's best to forgive him a lesser run at Doncaster 16 days ago and he's lurking on a very handy mark back up at 7f (all wins at this trip). Kisskodi is going the right way and highly respected. Eminency and Musical Angel complete the shortlist.
