Debut winner at the Curragh. Has proved expensive to follow at a higher level since, though running creditably each time, fourth of 21 in valuable sales race at Doncaster latest. Return to bare 6f should suit though this looks a bridge too far. Tongue strap on 1st time.

Improved appreciably on Leicester debut success when third of 20 in Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. Stepped up again to win Richmond at Goodwood, seen to good effect from the front. Underperformed in Prix Morny at Deauville since but he's entitled to be bang there on previous form.
Established as a fairly-useful colt. Not good enough for this level and likely to be used as a pacemaker.
Green on debut and knew a lot more when bolting up in 6f novice at Salisbury. Improved again when narrow winner of Sirenia Stakes at Kempton 3 weeks ago, able to dictate and again impressing with the way he travelled. Needs to improve again but respected all the same.
Has proved to be a bargain buy for connections despite his habitual slow starts, winning Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot before going close in Newbury Super Sprint. Good in-frame efforts in Group 2s since, knocking the eye out with how he finished off when fourth in Flying Childers. Not taken lightly.
Progressive form in novices, defying a penalty with ease at Windsor 19 days ago. Now takes a big step up in class but he clearly has more to offer still.
Off the mark at fourth attempt in Tipperary maiden and much better form in defeat at a higher level since, beaten only by a highly progressive filly in the Flying Childers at Doncaster 2 weeks ago. Return to 6f could suit.
$20,000 yearling, $200,000 2-y-o. Shaped with plenty of encouragement pitched in deep on debut when ¾-length second of 10 in Group 3 at the Curragh 4 weeks ago, having to pick way through. Highly tried once again but looks a smart prospect.
Runner-up in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot before winning Newbury listed race in July. Confirmed himself a smart juvenile when ¾-length third of 6 to Venetian Sun in Prix Morny at Deauville (6f, good to firm) last month and effort makes him the clear pick on form.

Not a particularly strong renewal and Charlie Appleby has an excellent chance of winning this race for the second successive year with WISE APPROACH, who sets a clear standard on the back of his very good third in the Prix Morny at Deauville. Coppull failed to give his running behind the selection that day but still rates the main threat on previous form. Aidan O'Brien has won this a record 7 times and Kansas looks the pick of his 3 runners.
