Useful-looking gelding won an Ascot bumper on debut in November and got back on track when third in a bumper in a strong bumper at this course in April. Shapes as though he'll be suited by this longer trip and has strong claims to make a winning start over hurdles.

Has made little impact to date, finishing well held in a trio of Worcester maidens. Now tried in more severe headgear over a longer trip but unlikely to be competing for anything more than minor honours.

£10,500 4-y-o, Jet Away gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including dual bumper winner/useful hurdle winner around 2m Liberty Dance. Finished fourth on his second start in Points in May. Makes hurdle debut and could be in contention for the places in a race lacking depth.

Modest maiden handicapper on Flat (stays 1¼m). Offered something to work on hurdles debut at Fontwell but couldn't build on that in a visor when well held at Worcester in July. Hasn't shown much on the Flat of late and returns to hurdling without usual headgear. Place claims if back on song.

Has shown little under Rules despite hitting the frame on both starts over hurdles, latest when a distant fourth at Fontwell in June. Improvement needed.

Verdict

This looks a golden opportunity for Paul Nicholls' bumper winner KAJIKIA to make a winning start over hurdles. Yarborough hasn't pulled up any trees this season but did offer something to work with on the first of his 2 starts over hurdles and may take second spot, while hurdle debutant Whenthemusicstops did manage to hit the frame in an Irish point in May.
