One-time useful dual-purpose performer for Ronan P. McNally. Very much looked and shaped as if needing the run on first Rules outing for more than 2 years when sixth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Cartmel (25.4f, good) 17 days ago. Difficult to fancy.
Has a good strike rate, winning 8 times from 20 starts under Rules, but arrives here on the back of 2 lacklustre efforts over fences and will need the switch to hurdling to spark a revival.
Scored over just shy of 3m here in November and sprang a surprise by returning to form to win a 14-runner handicap hurdle at this C&D (good) 48 days ago, beating Liverpool Knight by 1¼ lengths. Player again from 4 lb higher mark.
Dual winner as a novice hurdler and scored twice from 5 outings in his novice chasing campaign last season, including when taking a 4-runner handicap at Ludlow (20f, good) when last seen in March. Found to have bled there and absent since, so others more persuasive back over hurdles.
At least as good as ever when knuckling down to record a fourth win over hurdles here (15.8f, good) in July but didn't look as straightforward when fifth of 6 at Perth (16.2f, good to firm, 9/2) 26 days ago. Up in trip.
Won at Worcester last August prior to an 8-month break and may well have added to that success had her jumping held up better at that same track (20f, good) 66 days ago. Considered.
Three-time winner for Olly Murphy in 2023 and has held form well in defeat this season, again emerging with credit when beaten 1¼ lengths by Icare ALlen over C&D (good) 48 days ago. Should give his running again.
Has his own way of doing things but at least showed more life when a fast-finishing third at Market Rasen (20.6f, good) on his first outing since leaving Donald McCain last time. His challenge is to now back that up.
Returned to form when successful at Uttoxeter on reappearance in May and good third Market Rasen the following month. Soundly beaten both starts since, though, and others make greater appeal.
More commonly seen on the Flat nowadays and he shaped as if in good form when fourth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f, 11/1) 17 days ago. Market prove best guide as to expectations reverted to hurdling.

Forecasts
Liverpool Knight (9/4), Icare Allen (10/3), My Chiquita (13/2), Idy Wood (7/1), Vocito (15/2), Gale Mahler (8/1), Ballygeary (12/1), Donnie Azoff (14/1), Swinging London (33/1), The Jam Man (150/1)
MY CHIQUITA ran well returned to hurdling at Worcester last time and Ben Brookhouse's mare can go one better this time from a 2 lb higher mark. Icare Allen tends to save his best for Uttoxeter nowadays and has struck up a good relationship with 7-lb claimer Benjamin Macey, so is also considered hunting for back-to-back C&D successes, whilst Liverpool Knight, runner-up to him last time, should also be in the mix again.
- My Chiquita13/2
- Icare Allen10/3
