Dexter^p,t¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Henry Brooke| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 97

11/4

Multiple winner in France. Largely below par during his time with Sophie Leech but has made a positive start for this stable, placing twice before winning at Cartmel (17f, good) in refitted cheekpieces (retained). A 5 lb rise shouldn't prevent another prominent showing.

Form: 43P-231

Impression Chic^t¹³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Charlie Price⁽³⁾| T: R Hobson| OR: 96

11/1

Winning chase/handicap debut at Fontwell in autumn 2023 and placed on all 5 outings since, shaping well on her return from 14 months off when second back at Fontwell 17 days ago.

Form: 1222/3-2

Fillyfudge²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: J M Quinlan| T: Lemos Souza| OR: 91| D

16/1

Winner of a 2m Stratford handicap hurdle in May. Below par in hurdle and back on Flat since and a watching brief might be the call on chase debut.

Form: 0/352-16

Bennettshill²⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Bryan Carver| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 90

25/1

Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 12 on Market Rasen handicap hurdle debut/reappearance last month. A point win provides the hope for better now chasing but others are still preferred.

Form: 51/P22-0

Belle Montrose^t²⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Benjamin Macey⁽⁷⁾| T: S Drinkwater| OR: 84

3/1

7/2, some promise when third of 7 in handicap chase at Market Rasen (17f, good) on debut over fences 26 days ago. May well do better.

Form: 5573-83

Cawthorne Cracker^p,t⁹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: Toby Wynne| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 83

7/1

Landed a gamble over hurdles at Sedgefield (17f) last season. Shaped with promise returned to Sedgefield on chase debut in April but below par in another chase and hurdle since.

Form: F353-55

Getaway Jewel²²

Age: 11| Weight: 10-5| J: B S Hughes| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 77| D

17/2

Veteran who ended a long losing run in a very weak race off a career-low mark at Fakenham (2m) in June and creditable efforts in defeat over C&D and at Worcester since. Might be vulnerable to younger legs here.

Form: 564-134

Forecasts

Dexter (11/4), Belle Montrose (3/1), En Avant (3/1), Cawthorne Cracker (7/1), Getaway Jewel (17/2), Impression Chic (11/1), Greenways (12/1), Fillyfudge (16/1), Bennettshill (25/1)

DEXTER cemented his positive start for his new stable with a win at Cartmel last month and may be able to defy the handicapper. Olly Murphy's En Avant made a sound return from an absence here last month and is second choice ahead of Belle Montrose, an encouraging third on her Market Rasen chase debut.
