Resumed winning ways at Newcastle (16.3f, good) in March and continued in good heart on subsequent starts for James Ewart. Seemed to find things happening too quickly dropped back to 2m on return/yard debut at Uttoxeter last month and better anticipated here in a reapplied tongue tie.

Forecasts

Hold Onto The Line (6/4), Obsessedwithyou (9/4), Impression Chic (5/2), Claim Du Brizais (11/4), Big Jimbo (13/2), Mary (12/1)

A small field but cases can be made for a few of these. Preference is for OBSESSEDWITHYOU, who wasn't at her best when bidding for a hat-trick at Stratford 6 weeks ago, but Jamie Snowdon's 6-y-o is fancied to get back on the up. Hold Onto The Line possibly needed the outing on first start for his new yard at Uttoxeter last month so heads up the dangers, with chasing debutante Claim du Brizais rounding off the shortlist.
