Bolted up in this race 12 months ago and back to that sort of form when second at Bangor (17.3f) in May. Has struggled for his usual consistency more recently however, too free when tailed off at Stratford (17f, good to soft) last month. Dropped 2 lb but others more reliable.

Fairly useful hurdler who comes here on a roll over fences, bumping into a back-to-form handicap blot when narrowly denied a 4-timer at Stratford (17f, good to soft) last month, clear of rest. New mark has kicked in but she remains firmly of interest in her current mood.

Has turned over a new leaf since being fitted with a tongue strap, completing a hat-trick at this C&D (good to firm) by 1½ lengths from Jet of Dreams last month, jumping well in front. Being able to dominate seems to be the key to him but he may face competition from Duke of Luckley here.

Resumed winning ways at Ascot (16.7f) in March and has typically given his running all 3 starts since, possibly doing too much too soon when fourth of 9 at Stratford (17f, good to soft) last month. Possibilities from just 1 lb above last winning mark.

In top form during the autumn and picked up where he left off when completing a hat-trick of 5-runner handicaps at Southwell in May. Tailed off on both subsequent starts but may well get back on track reunited with his usual pilot.

Four wins in excellent 2024/25 season and has continued the good work with a trio of placed efforts in recent months, 1½ lengths second of 5 to Centara at this C&D (good to firm) most recently. Tongue tie reapplied and likely to go well again.

Forecasts

Finest View (2/1), Centara (9/4), Jet Of Dreams (9/2), Fringill Dike (13/2), Coastguard Station (7/1), Duke Of Luckley (20/1)

Verdict

FINEST VIEW was narrowly denied a 4-timer by a handicap blot at Stratford last month so Alan King's 8-y-o is fancied to regain the winning thread at the expense of Jet of Dreams, who has been placed all 3 starts this campaign and remains of interest. Centara, who beat Jet of Dreams last time, is 3-3 since a tongue tie went on but may have to settle for minor honours here.
