Left debut form from the previous week well behind when 40/1, second of 8 in maiden at Ripon (6f, good to firm) in June. Should be firmly in the mix again with further progress not ruled out.

Son of Sioux Nation who finished runner-up on each of his first starts in maiden/novice events at around 7f. Failed to see things out having set a decent pace when eighth of 13 on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 13 days ago and better anticipated on first try at sprinting.

Showcasing filly who displayed ability amidst signs of greenness both starts as a 2-y-o, not beaten far despite finishing last of 4 in novice at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 12 months ago. Hood goes on for return and she remains with potential, particularly in handicaps.

Territories filly. Dam 2-y-o 5.7f winner who stayed 1m. Proved easy to back and she went with little promise when sixth of 8 in novice at Windsor (6f, good to firm) on debut 72 days ago. This can reveal more.

Forecasts

Palio Di Siena (8/11), Magic Boy (11/4), Rhyme Dust (15/2), Jennifer Wren (8/1), Margorie (25/1)

Verdict

Having finished runner-up on each of his first 3 starts in similar company, PALIO DI SIENA is probably best not judged too harshly on his handicap debut effort having set a decent pace upped to 1m. He can bounce back returned to novice company/down in trip. Nigel Tinkler's Magic Boy can emerge as the chief danger following his Ripon second in June.
