Lightly-raced maiden who returned to something like his best when fifth of 10 in handicap at Newbury (8f, good to firm) 16 days ago, keeping on final 1f. Eased further in the weights ahead of this and he's certainly in with a shout eased in class.
Not without promise in AW maidens but failed to improve for switch to handicaps, sporting first-time blinkers when last of 7 on turf debut at Thirsk (1m, good) 19 days ago. Visor now the headgear of choice but he has it to prove for now.
Gained breakthrough success at Brighton (7f) in May but has proved most disappointing on 2 of his 3 starts since, always behind when last of 8 in handicap at Epsom (7f, good to firm, 7/1) 17 days ago. Blinkers worn then quickly replaced by usual visor.
Winner at Southwell (1m) in February and running respectably of late, fifth of 14 in handicap at Kempton (8f, 28/1) 25 days ago. Respected on very best efforts back on turf.
Winner at Wolverhampton in June. Fifth of 7 in handicap (8/1) at Sandown (8f, good) 4 days ago, merely passing tired rivals late on. Application of this sterner headgear may well sharpen him up and no great surprise to see a better showing.
Sergei Prokofiev filly who ran to a similar level all 3 starts in AW maidens, third of 10 in maiden at Lingfield (1m) when last seen in April. Switch to handicaps rates a definite plus back from a break and interesting if the market spoke in her favour. Turf debut.
C&D winner from 5 lb lower mark in April and ran well on 3 of his 4 subsequent starts, not beaten far when fourth of 5 in handicap at Chepstow (10f, good to soft, 4/1) 17 days ago, needing stronger gallop. No surprise to see him firmly in the mix back at this shorter trip.
Sea The Stars filly who offered something to work on when fifth on debut in a Lingfield novice (7f) in November. Failed to build on that in pair of AW starts last winter but surprise where this well-bred filly not capable of better now handicapping after a break. Interesting.

Warrnambool (9/4), Makes Me Wonder (7/2), Princess Mia (4/1), Blue Train (9/2), Suzuka (7/1), Ventura Dream (15/2), Astral Sea (12/1), Callout (20/1), Kazakh (50/1)
MAKES ME WONDER has performed well on 3 of his 4 starts since gaining a breakthrough victory over C&D in the spring and David Simcock's charge looks a big player again returned to 1m. Suzuka, handicap debutante Astral Sea and Blue Train are others worthy of a second look, with Ventura Dream also making each-way appeal.
