Highly-talented veteran who comes from off the pace. Gained yet another win at Group 3 level in Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown on return. Hasn't had the cards fall his way either start since, and though he's not one to trust implicitly in a battle, he was a ready winner of this last year.

Very smart 3-y-o who was placed in the Derby/Irish Derby in 2024 for James Fanshawe. However, ended that campaign below his best and hasn't matched that form for James Owen, again proving headstrong when eighth in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot (10f, good to firm, 33/1) last time.
|
Last year's Sandown Classic Trial winner. Ran creditably when 3¾ lengths third of 4 to El Cordobes in Princess of Wales's Stakes (4/1) at Newmarket (12f, good to firm) 23 days ago without fully convincing with his suitability for the trip, so others are preferred overall.
|
Ended last season with a good fourth in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot. Absent for a year before a low-key return but was right back to form when decisively winning a 5-runner listed race at Beverley (12.1f, good to firm, 2/1) 28 days ago. Player.

Good second in a listed race here (11.2f, good to firm) in May but has questions to answer after back-to-back below-part efforts, failing a beat rival at Newbury a fortnight ago. Booking of Moore a plus but needs to bounce back.

Al Aasy (13/8), Arabian Crown (9/4), Ambiente Friendly (11/2), Mount Atlas (6/1), Meydaan (15/2), Candleford (8/1), Raja Raja (33/1)
AL AASY confirmed himself as still a force to be reckoned with at this level when taking the Gordon Richards on return and has looked as if still in form from less-than-ideal positions on both outings since, so he's taken to make it to back-to-back wins in this contest. Fellow veteran Candleford showed plenty of ability remains when winning at Beverley last time and is the chief threat to his stablemate.
