Maiden hurdle winner for Dan Skelton in 2022. Has finished first and second in points this year but pulled up in all 3 chases under Rules, including a Newton Abbot handicap for this yard 3 weeks ago.
Below par in a couple chases since returning from 6 months off. The fact he scored over hurdles here last July provides some hope but others certainly arrive with more obvious claims.
Improved effort when off the mark in 2½m Warwick handicap chase last month but merely added to his patchy record when a well-held fourth at Uttoxeter since.
It's now 19 runs since his last win in 2022 but he has shaped encouragingly on both outings since his return from wind surgery, latterly 2 lengths second over C&D. Should give another good account.
Won selling hurdle at Stratford in March. Also second in a claiming hurdle at Fakenham in March but left James Owen after next run and well beaten in 2 handicap hurdles for this yard since. Chase winner earlier in his career but can still only watch.
Off 4 months, shaped as if needing the run sent chasing on first run for new yard at Cartmel 4 weeks ago. Her jumping looked sound and she's a potential improver with that outing behind her.
Modest hurdle winner. Went close in 3m Uttoxeter handicap chase for Harry Derham in May but below par twice since, latterly over 23f here on yard debut 4 weeks ago. Has subsequently undergone wind surgery.

Limited impact in points for new connections this spring and pulled up in handicap chase/hurdle at Cartmel at the end of June. Lots to prove.
Multiple winner in France. Largely below par during his time with Sophie Leech but made a positive start for his new stable when touched off over 2m at Uttoxeter (good) 16 days ago. Up in trip. Leading claims.
Dual hurdles/chase winner but yet to get seriously competitive for this yard. His mark has come down a long way but others are still preferred with first-time blinkers replacing his regular cheekpieces.

Forecasts
Dexter (6/5), Zacony Rebel (13/2), Byzantine Empire (7/1), Fat Sam (15/2), Isocrate (17/2), Pride Of Paris (9/1), Honneur D'Ajonc (14/1), Just A Memory (14/1), Chilinlikeavillain (150/1), Jobesgreen Lad (150/1)
DEXTER gets a chance to build on an encouraging first run for this yard at Uttoxeter 16 days ago. Fat Sam rates an obvious danger on the back of his good second over C&D last time, while Just A Memory is a potential improver on the back of her Cartmel chase debut.
