Howcroft Group Handicap

Off the mark at Southwell (7.1f) in December and backed that up with good second on turf debut at Doncaster in April. Failed to settle in competitive York handicap latest and addition of hood looks a good move.

Just modest form in a trio of starts thus far and needs to find improvement now sent handicapping.

Gelded following trio of fairly encouraging runs as a 2-y-o and acquitted himself well in handicaps on first 2 starts this term. Proved slightly disappointing at Chester last time but is 2 lb lower now and warrants respect.

Thrived switched to handicaps with cheekpieces fitted, bringing up a quick-fire 4-timer at Ripon (8f) last month. Looked a non stayer over longer trip latest and must enter calculations here.

First run for new yard when creditable third of 9 in handicap (9/2) at Newcastle (7.1f) in March but well below that level at Nottingham last month. Others more convincing.

Scored for first time at Newcastle (6f) in April and ran well in defeat on next 2 starts. Below par at Chester latest but holds solid claims on overall form.

Still looking for first success and has offered little in a couple of handicaps this season.

Made winning return over 5f at Lingfield last month but hasn't built on that in either start since and returns to longer trip here.

Below form latest but had been in good form previously (including when scoring over C&D in April) and can't be ruled out.

Ran respectably, on debut for new yard, when fifth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good) 22 days ago. Tongue strap on first time. Can make presence felt.
