Longbourn^t³⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-1| J: Sorcha Woods⁽⁷⁾| T: R O'Sullivan| OR: 95| CD

16/1

C&D winner. Likely needed the run when 50/1, sixteenth of 19 in handicap at this C&D (good) 35 days ago. Could be more competitive here.

Form: 53120-0

(1)

Masoun^t¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Elizabeth Gale⁽⁷⁾| T: J P O'Brien| OR: 93| CD

3/1

C&D winner. Career best when ridden positively in a well-run contest, landing a 12-runner handicap (9/2) at Leopardstown (9f, soft) 16 days ago, finding plenty for pressure. Respected for top yard.

Form: 11-0451

(7)

Final Voyage¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 10-9| J: Miss Georgie Benson⁽⁷⁾| T: J P Murtagh| OR: 89

8/1

14 runs and 15 months without a win but is proving consistent in defeat, 3¼ lengths third of 12 to Masoun in handicap (15/2) at Leopardstown (9f, soft) 16 days ago. Should be in the mix again.

Form: 428703

(13)

Bear Profit²³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-5| J: Nicola Burns⁽⁷⁾| T: Gerard O'Leary| OR: 85| D

4/1

Recent form figures on Flat read well and he was better than ever when winning 18-runner handicap at Leopardstown (9f, good) 23 days ago. Solid claims.

Form: 213-281

(10)

Fiver Friday⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 10-2| J: Miss S A Carter⁽⁷⁾| T: Paul Traynor| OR: 82| D

14/1

10f winner at Naas of 2 lb higher last season and shaped as though back in form when fourth of 7 in handicap at Down Royal (10.4f, good) 7 days ago. Looks well treated on best form.

Form: 1584-84

(12)

Solomon^h¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-12| J: Sadhbh Tormey⁽⁷⁾| T: P Sweeney| OR: 78| D

22/1

Didn't need to improve to win 12-runner claimer (6/1) at Limerick (11.5f, good) 17 days ago, driven out. That's form to treat with caution and he has much more on his plate on first run for yard after leaving Denis Hogan (previously worn hood now refitted).

Form: 500001

(14)

Tatateo^t²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: Miss J Townend| T: D Hogan| OR: 77| D

16/1

Fairly useful 10f winner for James Ferguson last season and showed much more over hurdles (in first time tongue strap) on second start for current connections. Tongue tie retained on return to the Flat and Jody Townend looks an interesting jockey booking. One to consider.

Form: 271449-

(5)

The Real Screamer¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-11| J: Miss A B O'Connor⁽³⁾| T: P W Flynn| OR: 77| BF

8/1

Stepped up on 9f claimer win when creditable 4 lengths fourth of 12 to Masoun in handicap (9/2) at Leopardstown (9f, soft) 16 days ago. Dropped a 1 lb and is partnered by one of the more experienced riders in the field. Not dismissed.

Form: 1-34414

(6)

Moonlit Mist¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 9-6| J: Neve Bennett⁽⁷⁾| T: D H Kelly| OR: 72| D

16/1

Likely needed the run when 18/1, 13¼ lengths ninth of 12 to Masoun in handicap at Leopardstown (9f, soft) 16 days ago. Handicapper has given her a chance (back on her last winning mark) but it remains to be seen if she can capitalise.

Form: 91502-9

(9)

Secret World^p⁴³

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: Christine Worrell⁽⁷⁾| T: Gerard O'Leary| OR: 72

28/1

Quirky and despite running well on first outing for this yard since leaving Charlie Johnston (sold for 10,000 gns), she blew the start with cheekpieces back on next time (pulled-up at Leopardstown 43 days ago). Isn't one for maximum faith.

Form: 3248-2P

(4)

Loingseoir^t⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 9-2| J: Gabriella Hill⁽⁷⁾| T: M C Grassick| OR: 68| C| D

9/1

Course winner wasted no time getting back to form when creditable third of 13 in handicap at Ballinrobe (9.7f, good to soft) 5 days ago, running on. Has won off this mark previously. Respected.

Form: 5-58253

(11)

Hemight⁵²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: Sylvia O'Donnell⁽⁷⁾| T: P F O'Donnell| OR: 67

20/1

Showed improved form to land a 15-runner handicap (14/1) at Gowran (8f, good) 52 days ago, comfortably. Pedigree offers some hope that he'll stay this longer trip and there could be further progress to come.

Form: 00-0301

(8)

Desert Friend⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 9-0| J: Miss H M Smullen⁽⁷⁾| T: Mrs D Foster| OR: 66

16/1

Arrives in good heart, latest creditable fourth of 14 in handicap at Ballinrobe (13f, good to soft, 5/1) 5 days ago, caught further back than ideal. Can be competitive back down in trip.

Form: 7-76234

(2)

Breathe Again¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 8-12| J: Robyn Donaghue-Leahy⁽⁷⁾| T: S Lavery| OR: 64

9/1

Again ran creditably when fifth of 15 in handicap (33/1) at Leopardstown (9f, soft) 16 days ago, though she may not have much in hand from her current mark.

Form: 05-0305

Forecasts

Masoun (3/1), Bear Profit (4/1), Final Voyage (8/1), The Real Screamer (8/1), Loingseoir (9/1), Breathe Again (9/1), Fiver Friday (14/1), Desert Friend (16/1), Longbourn (16/1), Tatateo (16/1), Moonlit Mist (16/1), Hemight (20/1), Solomon (22/1), Secret World (28/1)

BEAR PROFIT was better than ever when weaving his way through traffic to land an 18-runner handicap at Leopardstown earlier this month and can follow up under a young jockey who has been among the winners of late. Fiver Friday shaped as if right back to form when fourth at Down Royal 7 days ago and is well treated on the best of her form, while last time out winner Masoun could be the pace in the race and looks likely to go well again.
