Promising individual. 5/2, won 7-runner novice at Newcastle (6f) on the second of his 2 starts as a juvenile. That form is nothing to write home about, but he's open to improvement now handicapping off what looks a fair opening mark.

Course winner. Latest win here in May. 14/1, creditable sixth of 12 in handicap at Chester (6.1f, good to firm) 10 days ago. Place possbilities.
Tenth of 11 in handicap (4/1) at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Each-way chance judged on her C&D second in a maiden on penultimate start.
C&D winner in April. 10/3, fifth of 8 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 51 days ago. Low-key though that effort was, it would be no surprise to see this filly get back on track returned to the AW.
12/1 and visored for 1st time, creditable fourth of 10 in maiden at Catterick (6f, good) 24 days ago. Will need to find improvement from somewhere if he's to open his account here.
C&D winner. 20/1, good second of 14 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 7 days ago, well positioned. Blinkers on 1st time and he has to enter calculations.
Sixth of 9 in handicap at Leicester (5f, good to firm, 40/1) 20 days ago. Back up in trip and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
4/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (5f, good) 20 days ago. Back up in trip for this tapeta debut and she's likely to come up short once more.
Thrice-raced maiden. 12/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, fourth of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (7f), finding less than looked likely. Off 6 months ahead of this handicap debut, but she's open to improvement and this drop back in trip looks a good move.
Eighth of 9 in handicap at Leicester (5f, good to firm, 12/1) 20 days ago, slowly away. Back up in trip and he is not completely ruled out returned to this course having found just one to good over C&D on return/handicap bow in April.

The Newcastle novice SHIPLAKE won on the second of his two starts as a 2-y-o wasn't a particularly strong race, but this Lope de Vega colt is nonetheless promising and he is taken to make a winning start in handicap company off a mark that doesn't look too demanding. Queue Dos put in a good shift at Windsor last week and she is feared most ahead of handicap debutante Have I Told You and Kalahari Blue.
