Verdict

Charlie Appleby's SHADOW OF LIGHT met with defeat for just the second time when third to stablemate Ruling Court in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket but is fancied to resume winning ways with this drop back in trip a likely plus for last year's Middle Park winner. Speedy Irish filly Babouche easily bagged the Lacken Stakes at Naas last time so rates a big threat though, while Poule d'Essai des Poulins runner-up Jonquil and US raider Shisospicy both command plenty of respect too.
