Improved performer over fences since the cheekpieces went on, notching second success in this sphere with an emphatic display at Newton Abbot (25.8f, heavy) in April. Remains feasibly treated up 9 lb (has run well off higher marks in the past) and he's a major player.

Winless since scoring over C&D in April 2023 but, on the upside, he has come down the weights and has found just one too good on each of his last 2 starts. Likely to give another good account, for all that he may once more prove vulnerable from a win point of view.

Point winner back in March 2022 and didn't shape badly when runner-up in a maiden hunter on Rules debut in May of that year. However, he hasn't shown much in a handful of appearances (over hurdles and in this sphere) since returning from a long absence in November.

Made the most of a good opportunity when ending losing run in a Taunton handicap on penultimate start. Wasn't given a hard time once the eventual winner had flown at Newton Abbot (25.8f, good to firm) next time and he remains of interest.

Irish point winner who made a winning chase debut at Hereford (25.2f, good) in October. Back to form following a couple of low-key efforts when third of 6 returned to that C&D last time and it would be no surprise to see him involved in the finish here.

Showed he retains ability back from a long absence when chasing home Unspeakable at Taunton in April, but failed to reproduce that form by a long chalk at Uttoxeter last time.

Showed next to nothing in a bumper and 3 starts over hurdles. No improvement on debut in this sphere with cheekpieces and tongue strap enlisted (latter now discarded) at this course recently. Has undergone a wind op.

UNSPEAKABLE probably wasn't seen to anything like best effect when third at Newton Abbot where the two that beat him essentially got away on the front end. The 7-y-o is perhaps better judged on his decisive Taunton success in April and, on that evidence, he remains on a workable mark. Conditions are unlikely to be anything like as slow as those which Puddlesinthepark encountered when scoring in good style last time, but he is a big threat nonetheless. Mistymal is third choice.
