Foaled February 7. €420,000 yearling, Victor Ludorum colt. Very green when eleventh of 18 in maiden at Newbury (6f, firm, 16/1) on debut 13 days ago. Ought to learn plenty and is surely capable of better.

Foaled April 19. St Mark's Basilica colt. Half-brother to 2 winners, including useful 7f winner American Arrow. Another with an appealing pedigree and represents a top yard, so has to be respected on debut.

Forecasts

Man Of Vision (6/4), Commander's Intent (85/40), Rodeo (9/2), On The Inlet (6/1), Brave Hunter (20/1), Velocity Vow (28/1)

Verdict

This should prove an informative contest with plenty of well-bred newcomers, though MAN OF VISION is perhaps the most appealing for the in-form Charlie Appleby yard, being by Dubawi out a multiple Group-winning mare. On The Inlet is a full brother to Group 2 winner Jumby and also makes appeal for the Newland & Insole team, whilst Rodeo's half-sister made a winning debut last year for the same owners and is another likely player for John & Thady Gosden.
