Man Of The Sea^p,t¹⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 12-0| J: Harriet Tucker⁽⁷⁾| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 105| D

11/8

Returned from a winter break to win on the Flat at Bath and posted another creditable effort when second over hurdles at Taunton since. Ran in snatches when finding things too sharp at Hereford (16.2f) earlier this month. Capable of better over this longer trip.

Dirty Den^h¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-9| J: Callum Pritchard⁽⁵⁾| T: Anthony Charlton| OR: 100

9/4

Runner-up 3 times in handicap hurdles earlier this year and refitted with a hood, bounced back to his best to get off the mark in this sphere in a Worcester novice handicap (16f) 19 days ago, ridden out. Should give another good account back in open company.

Form: 22254-1

Jewel Of Windsor²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: R T Dunne| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 94

22/1

Placed on first of 2 starts in bumpers for previous yard. Latest outing after 8 months off (left Emmet Mullins), went off at long odds sent handicapping and offered little. Hard to fancy unless market hints at improvement on second start for Neil Mulholland.

Form: 3/6079-7

Clinton Lane¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: James Davies| T: Mark Gillard| OR: 90| CD

7/2

Has won a couple of races in maiden/novice company (including at this course) but yet to bag a handicap, though shaped better than the bare result when creditable fifth of 11 in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las (20f, good) 19 days ago. One to consider.

Form: 74565-5

On The Nose³⁰⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: Lee Edwards| T: Joanne Thomason-Murphy| OR: 85

40/1

Poor handicapper on Flat. First form (modest) over hurdles when second in a novice at Fontwell but held back by lack of experience on handicap hurdle debut at Newton Abbot the following month. Last seen finishing well beaten on Level on final run for Adam West. Needs more on stable debut.

Form: UP0/26-

What's My Line^p²¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: M Goldstein| T: M Madgwick| OR: 76| C

8/1

Course winner has lost his way, faring no better than on reappearance when fifth of 8 in a handicap hurdle at this course (21.8f, soft) last October. Work to do from out of the handicap on reappearance.

Junior Des Bordes⁹¹⁶

Weight: 11-10| Age: 6

T: James Owen J: Ben Bromley

Forecasts

Man Of The Sea (11/8), Dirty Den (9/4), Clinton Lane (7/2), Junior Des Bordes (6/1), What's My Line (8/1), Jewel Of Windsor (22/1), On The Nose (40/1)

JUNIOR DES BORDES is a fascinating contender on handicap debut for a yard that does so well with new recruits. He may be able to defy a long absence and bag another winner for the bang in form James Owen team. Of the rest, Man of The Sea should be suited by the step back up in trip while last time out winner Dirty Den merits consideration back in open company.
