High-class gelding who signed off for 2024 with victory in Champion Stakes at Ascot (10f, soft) by ½ length from Calandagan. Off 7 months but still not taken lightly.
2023 St Leger winner but failed to hit the same heights last year and it's been a similar story in 3 outings this spring, tried in blinkers when last of 5 in Yorkshire Cup last time. Hard to fancy.
Useful horse but he resumed from 8 months off with a bellow-par sixth of 7 to Galen in Alleged Stakes at this course (10f, good) 43 days ago. This course winner faces no easy task.
Course winner but not seen out since a well-held fourth of 5 in Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown 13 months ago. Yard in good form but it's easy to look elsewhere.
Winless in 2024 but lots of good efforts in defeat at the highest level, coming in fifth in Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown final start. Returned with a good fourth of 11 in Dubai Turf at Meydan in April so holds place claims.
Irish Derby victor here last June and he reappeared with a gutsy success in Mooresbridge Stakes here (10f, good) 20 days ago by neck from White Birch. Appeals as the sort to go on again in 2025. Holds leading claims.
Smart horse who performed with credit after a 6-month absence when third of 6 to Sosie in Prix Ganay at Longchamp (10.4f, good) 28 days ago. Merits consideration.
High-class horse made an encouraging return after 11 months off when neck second of 6 to Los Angeles in Mooresbridge Stakes here (10f, good) 20 days ago. This 3-time C&D winner is expected to be bang there.
Very smart filly who scored 5 times in 2024, signing off with a career best in the Fillies' & Mares' Stakes at Ascot (11.6f, soft) in October. Stable in good form so she shouldn't be underestimated on her seasonal return.

Forecasts
Los Angeles (9/4), Kalpana (5/2), White Birch (3/1), Ghostwriter (13/2), Anmaat (8/1), Royal Rhyme (20/1), Continuous (50/1), Deepone (80/1), Crypto Force (300/1)
Aidan O'Brien's Irish Derby hero LOS ANGELES made a very pleasing return when edging out White Birch in the Mooresbridge Stakes here and can build on that to again thwart John Murphy's multiple C&D scorer who rates a big threat. Last year's Champion Stakes hero Anmaat can't be discounted either, while the smart pair Ghostwriter and Kalpana also need factoring into this cracking renewal of the Tattersalls Gold Cup.
