Sea The Moon gelding who was much improved from debut when fifth of 13 in maiden at Sandown (10f) last June, keeping on without getting on terms. Sold from Ralph Beckett for 15,000 gns thereafter and step up to 1½m promises to be within range on return.

6/1, still in need of the experience when fourth of 5 in novice at Southwell (12.1f) back in February. First run for yard after leaving Ralph Beckett (6,000 gns) with lots more needed.

7/2, shaped promisingly amidst inexperience when second of 5 in maiden at Ripon (12f, good to firm) on debut just over 5 weeks ago, sticking to task having become unbalanced. Open to improvement.

Seemingly too green to show anything when last of 4 in maiden (10/1) at Hamilton (11.1f, good to firm) on debut 8 days ago.

Showed plenty to work on having been really easy to back when third of 10 in maiden at Leicester (10f, good to firm, 22/1) on debut 4 weeks ago. Up in trip. Will improve for a top stable.

Well beaten in maiden/minor event. Looks one for low-grade handicaps after this.

Forecasts

Tarriance (1/3), Gravitas (9/4), Raging Al (22/1), Me And Bobby Mcgee (40/1), Broker Charlie (80/1), Invincible Shadow (200/1), Hazy Bela (250/1)

Verdict

This could well develop into a match between TARRIANCE and Gravitas, with preference for the former having shown plenty to work on despite being easy to back when third in a Leicester maiden on debut 4 weeks ago. Charlie Johnston's colt won't allow the selection to have it all his own way however, while Raging Al has to give plenty of weight away but rounds off the shortlist starting out for a new yard.

  1. Tarriance1/3
  2. Gravitas9/4
  3. Raging Al22/1
