Court Cave gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (stayed 3m) Oberon Moon. No better than sixth in 3 Irish points (latest Apr 19).
Smart performer at his best on Flat but below that level in 2024. Low-key start to hurdles career under kind rides and surely has a bigger performance in him.
Runner-up in selling/maiden company in May 2024. Below that level in low-grade handicaps/novice after and he's up against it in maiden company on return from 8 months off.
Merit firmly established and he remains vulnerable at almost any level.
Finished in the first 3 in a trio of bumpers but has offered little in as many starts over hurdles.
Just minor promise in a couple of bumpers but stepped up markedly on opening effort over hurdles when fourth of 9 at Kelso a month ago. That puts him in the mix.
No better than fourth over hurdles in Ireland but not out of this on the pick of his form and he should strip fitter with last month's return under his belt. Tongue tie on for the first time.
€30,000 3-y-o, Harzand gelding. Half-brother to numerous winners, including modest 17f hurdle winner Racy Lacey and modest hurdler Lace Bonnet. Dam unraced. Mid-field in a Punchestown bumper for Ciaran Murphy in April 2024. Won second of 2 starts in points since so is of interest at this level.
Bettered hurdling debut form upped markedly in trip when third in 7-runner maiden at Catterick (25.3f) in February. Down markedly in trip and would likely have won had he kept straight over 2m back there a fortnight later. One to beat with Hughes taking over.
Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1¼m) but failed to beat a rival on hurdles debut. Tongue tie reached for.
Tailed off only start in bumpers and has fared little better in a trio of runs over hurdles so far. Cheekpieces applied.

Forecasts
The Last Cloud (1/1), Kinbara Hills (3/1), Chichester (7/1), Drumlee Myth (8/1), Dapper Gent (10/1), Gonnino (14/1), Mosstown Mill (33/1), Don't Look Back (66/1), Amdoinmebest (125/1), Cloudsareclearing (300/1), Keady Town (300/1)
THE LAST CLOUD rather threw away a winning opportunity at Catterick in February but has the services of Brian Hughes this time and this isn't a deep maiden hurdle. He's worth another chance, with talented Flat performer Chichester a big danger, particularly if the market vibes are positive, Kinbara Hills also warrants consideration.
