Posted creditable fourth of 13 in handicap chase at Cheltenham (25.2f, good, 14/1) last month but was disappointing on last start in this sphere and has looked increasing temperamental of late.
Without a win since September 2022 but went through a good spell earlier last season, making the frame in 4 consecutive starts. However, his form has dropped off this year, having no chance from 3 out when fourth at Southwell (20.4f) in March. Cheekpieces back on.
Returned to form in recent starts, latest when second of 8 in handicap hurdle at Bangor (19.6f, soft) 17 days ago, albeit no match for winner. Should appreciate the step back up in trip and is one for shortlist.
Took advantage of a much-reduced mark when winning 5-runner handicap over C&D (good) last month. 3 lb rise fair and ought to go well again.
Returned to form, in first-time blinkers, when creditable third of 12 in handicap hurdle at Fontwell (19.1f, good, 15/2) 16 days ago. Worth a crack at this longer trip and must enter calculations.
Placed just once from 4 starts in bumpers and well held in a trio of hurdles. However, headgear is now fitted for handicap debut and he is worth monitoring in the market.
Finally opened his account at Huntingdon in May but just the one decent effort since. Reportedly bled latest and arrives with plenty to prove.
Lightly-raced maiden who found some improvement, in first-time tongue strap, when fourth of 5 in handicap hurdle at this course (20.5f, good) 38 days ago. Tries longer trip now but needs more to take a hand.
Flat winner for Sir Mark Prescott but little encouragement to glean from his hurdles exploits, including on handicap debut at Kempton 13 months ago. Again out of the weights and looks an easy swerve on return.

Proper Twelve (11/4), Ted's Friend (7/2), I'm Your Buckaroo (18/5), Westtara (7/1), Forlano (15/2), Flintara (10/1), Playaway Girl (12/1), Steel Dancer (12/1), The Wise Traveller (14/1), Flemen's Tipple (16/1), Captain Howse (50/1)
Recent C&D winner WESTTARA remains feasibly treated and may be able to follow up. Proper Twelve and I'm Your Buckaroo head the list of dangers.
