Jaxonne⁴¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 90| CD

13/8

Landed a gamble in this race last year and back to that sort of form when creditable second of 8 in handicap hurdle (9/2) at Wincanton 6 weeks ago. Obvious chance.

Bahtiyar¹⁷³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽³⁾| T: M Young| OR: 88

20/1

Still looking for first success and yet to fire for this yard, finishing a distant fourth at Fakenham when last seen in November.

Form: 534574-

Pooroldmackley¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: Miss Eleanor Williams⁽⁷⁾| T: Evan Williams| OR: 84| D

15/8

On a hat-trick after wins at Newton Abbot (chase) and Hereford (hurdle) this spring. A 10 lb rise doesn't look to prevent him going in again.

Form: 867311-

Lake's Aventurine¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: James Best| T: H Dickin| OR: 73

4/1

Made the frame on first of 2 starts in bumpers but there has been little to shout about over hurdles so far. Latest C&D fifth of 13 was a bit better but others are still preferred.

Form: 00FP75-

Clover Pass^h²⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: J J Burke| T: A Ralph| OR: 71

6/1

Made more of an impact that previously when second in 3¼m Stratford handicap 4 weeks ago. The task now is to build on that now back down in trip.

Forecasts

Jaxonne (13/8), Pooroldmackley (15/8), Lake's Aventurine (4/1), Clover Pass (6/1), Tchoupinminzac (12/1), Bahtiyar (20/1)

POOROLDMACKLEY is taken to complete a hat-trick, most likely at the expense of last year's winner Jaxonne, who returned to form when second at Ludlow last time.
