Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Tristan Durrell⁽³⁾| T: D Skelton| OR: 122| D

16/1

Bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts when winning a 27.5f Stratford handicap last summer but it's been all downhill since and he's best treated with caution.

Ajp Kingdom^p²³

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Tom Broughton⁽⁵⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 120

4/1

Took his form up a notch when getting off the mark over fences in good style in a 5-runner handicap at Uttoxeter (26.1f, good to soft) in November. Picked up where he left off after a break when third at Cheltenham last month and he's a leading player.

Can't Beat History^t²⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-3| J: J J Burke| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 114| CD

7/4

Made it 4 wins from 8 starts over fences when striking over C&D (good to firm) on last summer and completed a hat-trick back hurdling after a 9-month break at Warwick last month. Return to a right-handed track will suit even better and he's shortlisted.

Giovanni Change¹⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 10-8| J: Danny McMenamin| T: M Walford| OR: 105| CD

9/4

A course regular with a cracking record and confirmed several promising recent efforts when capitalising on his main rival's late mistake to score over C&D (good to firm, 5/2) 19 days ago. Up only 1 lb but this is a stiffer task.

Forecasts

Can't Beat History (7/4), Giovanni Change (9/4), Ajp Kingdom (4/1), A Definite Getaway (4/1), Choosethenews (11/2), Hidden Heroics (16/1)

CAN'T BEAT HISTORY didn't let a 9-month absence get in the way of him scoring over hurdles at Warwick last month and he's taken to make it 4 successive wins back chasing at a track that should suit. AJP Kingdom has began to jump with more fluency and is respected after a good effort at Cheltenham last time, whilst course specialist Giovanni Change should also give another good account.
