Lieutenant Command^p⁴⁵

Age: 11| Weight: 12-2| J: Harry Reed| T: T Reed| OR: 122| D

18/1

Useful handicap chaser at best for Noel Meade. Very lightly raced in recent seasons though and rejoined this yard from Tristan Davidson on the back of unseating at Hexham (20f) 45 days ago. Record is patchy and percentage call to look elsewhere.

Do Your Job^p,t²⁷

9/1

Veteran chaser who took advantage of much-reduced mark when off the mark for this yard at Wetherby in March. Consistency not his strong suit nowadays however, dropping away quickly when fourth of 5 in handicap chase at Bangor (20.3f) 27 days ago, folding 2 out.

The Gypsy Davey²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Mr B T Stone⁽⁷⁾| T: Evan Williams| OR: 111| CD

10/11

2-2 as a hurdler and belatedly opened his account in this sphere following numerous placed efforts in 3-runner C&D handicap 4 weeks ago, albeit possibly a shade fortunate on the day to do so. Still, he needs considering nevertheless given his overall consistency.

The Dream Goes On¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-10| J: Luke Scott⁽⁵⁾| T: Dr R Newland| OR: 102| BF| C

6/4

Improved when off the mark over hurdles here (19.7f) in March and followed up on chase debut at Plumpton (19.7f) despite not convincing with her jumping a month later. Yet to be asked for her effort when falling 3 out at Market Rasen latest but obvious claims if brushing up in that department.

Forecasts

The Gypsy Davey (10/11), The Dream Goes On (6/4), Do Your Job (9/1), Lieutenant Command (18/1)

Cours-winner THE DREAM GOES ON had yet to be asked for her effort when falling 3 out at Market Rasen on her most recent chase start 3 weeks ago. She does need to brush up in the jumping department but boasts easily the least exposed profile of the quintet and shades the vote. The Gypsy Davey may well emerge as the lead threat.
