Doubled his tally over hurdles when scoring at Wetherby in November. Well held next 3 starts but stopped the slide to some extent when mid-field at Cheltenham last month. However, jumped left when well held on chase bow over C&D on penultimate outing so bit to prove back in this sphere.

Finally shed maiden status in 5-runner handicap chase over C&D in March, beating 2 next-time-out winners. Good third back up in trip here since and should make another bold bid despite being 2 lb out of the weights.

Forecasts

Chestnut Pete (11/8), Williethebuilder (6/4), Centara (3/1)

The thriving CHESTNUT PETE is 2 lb out of the handicap on this occasion but he is still fancied to resume winning ways up against 2 unconvincing rivals.
