Three-time winner over fences during first half of last season (including this race). However, found her run of good form coming to a halt over hurdles in January and well below best returned to chasing on last 2 starts. Bounce back called for.
Hurdles/chase winner at this track during 2023/24 season and lines up here having returned to form of late, fourth of 10 in handicap chase at this course (21.6f, good) 40 days ago. Respected from this sort of mark stepping back up in trip.
Veteran C&D winner who was backed at long odds and left a very low-key reappearance run well behind equipped with blinkers when winning 5-runner handicap chase (12/1) at Plumpton (25.7f, good) 34 days ago, left clear 2 out. Needs to back that up now.
Point winner who remains winless under Rules but did dispel a handful of lesser efforts with cheekpieces employed when second of 6 in handicap chase at Huntingdon (23.6f, good, 11/4) 26 days ago. A repeat gives him claims again with headgear retained.
Maiden hurdler who took really well to fences in 2023, bagging pair of handicaps at around 3¼m. Missed whole of last year but encouragingly confirmed she retains all of her ability on second start back when second of 8 in handicap chase at Newton Abbot (25.8f, heavy) 18 days ago. Respected.
Poor maiden on balance and he never really threatened for win purposes when third in novices' handicap chase at Huntingdon (23.6f) 26 days ago, merely passing beaten horses late on. More required if he's to break his duck here.
Just the one win to his name from 27 starts overall but he did at least fare better than of late when second of 7 in handicap chase at Southwell (24.3f, good to soft) 22 days ago, albeit flattered by proximity to the winner. Needs to back that up now.
Overall strike rate is off-putting but he ran well to make the frame in trio of course handicaps since the turn of the year, latterly when runner-up over C&D in March. Let down badly by his jumping at Newton Abbot since but he could well bounce back despite operating from out of the weights.

Sir Rock (10/3), Getupearly (7/2), Elpologreg (5/1), Janeslittlevoice (5/1), One Man Party (6/1), Dysania (11/1), Ballintara (16/1), River Tyne (16/1)
Plenty to consider in a trappy handicap but SIR ROCK has been displaying more encouraging signs from his reduced mark in recent months and, with this sort of test promising to be within range, he shades the vote to come out on top. Getupearly, Janeslittlevoice and Plumpton scorer Ballintara head up the dangers.
