Runner-up on debut in France but has failed to reproduce that form in 8 outings in Britain, a breathing operation failing to help him see his race out over C&D 3 weeks ago.
Twice a winner of 1¼m handicaps on the Flat for Johnny Murtagh, including at Leopardstown in October. Little to shout about in his qualifying runs over hurdles but surely capable of better now handicapping.
Has won a couple of races in maiden/novice company (including at this course) but hasn't really looked like winning a handicap despite a falling mark. Worth a go at this trip, at least.
Looked hard work down at 2m but confirmed he possesses some ability when third in maiden company at Chepstow 11 days ago. This trip sure to suit now handicapping.
Bumper/3-time hurdle winner for Dan Skelton but ended time with that yard out of sorts and no upturn in 4 runs for present stable since the turn of the year.
Down in the weights on second run back from a breathing op and right back on song when finding only an unexposed one too good at Chepstow in March (19.5f). One to take very seriously from same mark.
Improved for current yard when landing 2m6f handicap hurdle at Fontwell in December. Pulled up in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter next time and quickly back over timber after failing to take to chasing here in February. Since moved yards and tongue tie added.
Progressed well switched to handicaps, again showing a good attitude when scoring for the third time at Stratford (2¾m, heavy) in March 2024. Very few positives to take from his 3 efforts over fences but well backed with cheekpieces on returned to hurdling, he finished second at Bangor in February.
Let down by his jumping both starts over fences and too free to last out in the mud over C&D in February. Off since and well weighted on his best form.
Bounced back from a couple of lesser runs when fifth of 10 at Warwick 3 weeks ago, confirming stamina for 19f in the process. Others still more persuasive.
Twenty-one runs since sole win, gained at thus venue in 2021. 66/1, eighth of 9 in handicap hurdle at this course (23.9f, good to soft) 19 days ago.

Getuptheyard (7/2), All Under Control (7/2), Coup De Gold (5/1), Prince Rhinegold (6/1), Monsant (6/1), Karaktere D'enfer (7/1), Master Dunraven (15/2), Clinton Lane (11/1), Goguenard (18/1), Dessie Haze (25/1), Presenting Nelly (40/1), The Wire Flyer (66/1)
GETUPTHEYARD was no match for an unexposed one at Chepstow when last seen in March but he beat the rest easily and from the same mark, he receives the tentative vote. Goguenard got back on track returned to timber last time so he's a threat, while Master Dunraven will surely up his game now handicapping given his Flat form.
