Prolific winner in points who started Rules career in same vein when winning this race 12 months earlier. Proved a disappointment when pulled up at Taunton on next hunter start but showed improved form when very good fifth of 29 in Foxhunters' Chase at Aintree last time. Has to be respected.

Had won 2 of his 3 starts in points since last seen under Rules for W. P. Murphy and, without a tongue strap this time, made a successful hunter debut in quite stylish fashion at Stratford (20.9f) 53 days ago. Should improve and win more races.
Fair handicap chaser who underperformed when fourth of 7 in handicap at Huntingdon (19.9f, soft) in January. First run for yard after leaving Gary Hanmer.
Dual point winner, runner-up last time (Apr 21). Interesting to see how he goes in the betting ahead of Rules/hunter debut.
Winning hurdler and fairly useful form at best in chases. Placed all 3 starts in points but ran to only a modest level when third of 7 on hunter debut/sole outing in 2023/24 (for G. Edgedale). Not seen since but has rejoined former yard. Blinkers on for 1st time.
Fairly useful handicap hurdler but it was disconcerting he bled when finishing a well-beaten third of 4 in novice handicap at Sandown on chasing debut in November. Makes hunter debut on first run since leaving Adam West.
Pulled up last 2 hunter chase starts and unseated her rider in a recent point. Easily passed over.

BARTON SNOW made a successful hunter debut in quite stylish fashion at Stratford in March and should prove at least as effective back at 2m given how he went through the race, so he's a confident selection to follow up. A Jet of Our Own took this race last year and has to be respected based on his form, though he may find conditions placing too much emphasis on speed this time around. Franigane may prove best of the rest.
