RIYADH GEM got on top close home when landing a nursery upped to a mile at Southwell on his final 2-y-o appearance and, with further improvement on the cards now faced with an even stiffer test, he looks capable of going in again off this 4 lb higher mark. He may have most to fear from Phrygia, who has shown enough in three qualifying runs to suggest that she will have a part to play now handicapping off a fair-looking mark. Crackalackin is best of the rest.
