Point winner who made a successful start under Rules when rallying to lead again close home bumper at Ascot in November and barely came off the bridle as he also made a successful debut over hurdles at Catterick (19.3f, good). Struggled in Cheltenham Grade 2 latest but this is far more suitable.

7/2
Dual bumper winner who completed a straightforward task in uncomplicated fashion on hurdles debut at Naas (18.9f) in November. Folded tamely at Carlisle next time, however, and fared no better at Uttoxeter 3 months later. Enough to prove at present.

Struck at the second time of asking in bumpers here last April and wasn't any more than workmanlike in landing the odds on C&D hurdling debut 8 months on (had breathing op). Sure to improve.

Forecasts

The Bluesman (11/10), Kdeux Saint Fray (13/8), Lieutenant Mayne (7/2), Bara Tara (16/1), Tongaknoxie (66/1), Beragon (200/1)

Verdict

KDEUX SAINT FRAY seemed to find the step up in grade coming too soon in his development at Cheltenham in January and he's well worth another chance back in appreciably calmer waters after a break. Lieutenant Maybe has been most disappointing since making a successful hurdling debut at Naas in November, so The Bluesman is considered the main threat.
