Irish point winner who left his first 2 runs over hurdles behind when a close second at Newcastle (17f, good to soft) last month. Made the most of a good opportunity with a facile-all-the-way success at Carlisle a fortnight ago. More to do under a penalty but he's still a player.

Useful handicapper on Flat (stays 16.5f) who made a seamless transition to hurdles when landing 2m Ayr novice in November. Disappointing in better contests twice since but he should be a factor in a race like this.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 2m). Sold for just 6,000 gns from Ralph Beckett in September and hooded, he didn't show much on hurdles debut.

Useful Flat winner in Ireland who landed big-field maiden against her own sex at Naas 19 days ago, comfortably. More to come so very much the one to beat.
