Verdict

SANBONA finished a couple of places behind Perfidia at Pontefract last week but he now meets that rival on 5 lb better terms and, moreover, he deserves plenty of credit for finishing as close as he did on that occasion. Indeed, Michael Dods's charge had to use up a good deal of energy to get the lead from his wide draw and only faded late on after setting a strong gallop. Perfidia is greatly respected all the same and rates the clear main danger ahead of Andalseeyagraham and Ziva's Star.
