6/5

Off the mark over fences here (28.1f) 12 months ago and has acquitted himself well since, latest when 5¼ lengths third of 12 to Moroder in Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster (26f, good, 11/2) 46 days ago. Likely contender.

Form: 21-1323

What Path^t⁸¹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-10| J: Adam Wedge| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 129

16/1

Useful hurdler. Ridden too aggressively on chase bow/final start for Willie Mullins. Decent effort sole start for Sophie Leech when third in maiden chase at Galway in August but hasn't fired yet for current yard.

Form: 333385

Java Point^t³⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 10-9| J: G Sheehan| T: Henry Oliver| OR: 128

9/2

Largely consistent sort who made a bright start to this season when runner-up here in November and got back to that sort of form when narrowly held in Sandown handicap (24.2f, good to soft) 25 days ago. Should give another good account.

Form: 45-24P2

Forecasts

Hymac (6/5), Manothepeople (10/3), Java Point (9/2), Moroder (13/2), Grandads Cottage (7/1), Does He Know (14/1), What Path (16/1)

Last year's winner MANOTHEPEOPLE put up a bold show in the Kim Muir here last month and is fancied to take this prize home once more. Hymac and Moroder are feared most.
