Odds-on winner of pair of 8.6f Wolverhampton novice events in January. Form is nothing to write home about but this expensive breeze-up purchase is in excellent hands and improvement is likely now moving up in trip for this handicap/turf debut.

Consistent at 2 yrs and solid start to this season when runner-up in a competitive Kempton handicap (1m) last month. Has more miles on the clock than his 4 rivals but promises to be suited by this step up in trip and is impossible to rule out.
|
Winner of both starts as a 2-y-o, latterly landing a heavy-ground 9f Redcar novice in game fashion. Likeable type and there should be more races to be won with him but this trip may prove to be a bare minimum and the ground here will be very different to what he's previously encountered.

Showed fair level of ability last season and took a sizeable step forward when upped to this trip on return/handicap debut at Chelmsford where she scored in good style. 6 lb rise probably underestimates her and she's a big player with Ryan Moore doing the steering.
|
Pinatubo colt who improved with each of his 3 starts as a juvenile, signing campaign off with a narrow success in 1m Southwell novice in November. Shapes as though he'll be very much at home over this longer trip but another jolt of improvement is needed now returned to turf for this handicap bow.

Forecasts
Treasure Fleet (9/4), The Trickster (3/1), Lady Chartwell (10/3), Brindavan (9/2), Hallelujah U (13/2)
LADY CHARTWELL did the job well when making a winning reappearance at Chelmsford and, with a 6 lb rise for that decisive success by no means excessive, she is likely to prove a tough nut to crack with Ryan Moore booked. The unbeaten Treasure Fleet brings clear potential to this handicap debut and is feared most ahead of Brindavan, while The Trickster and Hallelujah should both win more races but their claims are not as appealing as the other three.
