Bagged a small-field Stratford handicap (26.4f, good) in June 2023. Went into his shell after but took a big step back in the right direction from his reduced mark when second of 9 at Warwick in November. Disappointing at Kempton later that month and off since.

£80,000 purchase after winning a point in 2023. It took a while for new connections to get him to the track but he's progressing nicely, responding well when off the mark in maiden company at Fontwell (19f) last month. Could be more to come in handicaps up in trip.

Winner of a weak race at Wetherby (2½m, good) in November, but failed to keep straight under pressure when second in first-time cheekpieces the following month (Catterick, 19.3f). Had a breathing op after and sound third on handicap debut, seeing out 23f well.

Didn't really take to chasing but better than ever reverting to timber when landing 8-runner C&D handicap 3 weeks ago, suited by increase in trip. Another bold bid likely up 4 lb.

Well backed and turned in his best effort of the season from a reduced mark when second of 8 in handicap hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f, heavy) in February. Disappointing at Ayr and this the first time he's tackled this sort of trip since 2023.

Stratford winner for Gary Hanmer in 2023. Failed to fully fire in 4-race campaign last year for Rebecca Menzies but as a result, she is back on that successful mark returning for new stable.

Second on his Hereford handicap debut for Jennie Candlish in October 2023 and best effort for this stable when third to Kuzco over this C&D 3 weeks ago.

DWIGHT K SCHRUTE isn't obviously well treated for this handicap debut but he's going the right way and the manner in which he found for pressure at Fontwell last time strongly suggests this step up in trip will suit. He's therefore awarded the vote in favour of recent C&D winner Kuzco and Shantou Express on his return.
