Highly promising sort. Won 8-runner novice at Southwell (11.1f, 11/10) on debut 21 days ago, slowly away. Open to any amount of improvement and he's very much the one to beat.

Twice-raced maiden on Flat. 40/1, fourth of 6 in novice at Southwell (12.1f) 32 days ago, slowly away. Will qualify for handicaps after this and will be of greater interest when going down that route in due course.

Cheekpieces on for 1st time, won 3-runner handicap hurdle (11/4) at Doncaster (24.4f, soft) when last seen in December 2023. Hard to know what to expect of him on belated Flat debut following 15 months off but he clearly possesses ability and the market will be instructive.

Twice-raced maiden on Flat. 18/1, fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (19.8f, good to soft) 5 days ago. Poor on latest start in this sphere and Fabuleux du Clos is presumably the stable No 1.

€19,000 yearling, Magna Grecia gelding. Half-brother to useful 9.4f-18.6f winner Metier and 6f-1¼m winner Morryl Moral. Dam 1½m winner. Yard among the winners of late and, though not synonymous with first-time-out scorers, this newcomer is worth a second look in the betting.

Lightly-raced maiden. Below form third of 8 in handicap (14/1) at Newmarket (12f, heavy) on final run of 2024 (gelded since). Has shown ability on the AW prior to that and is more appealing than most in this contest.

It was only three weeks ago that TURQUINO made his debut but he looks set to make up for lost time pretty quickly judged on that impressive success at Southwell. The well-bred 4-y-o is taken to follow up here before his sights are raised. Don Simon is the clear pick of the others, with Inspire Hope likely to claim minor honours.
