Off the mark over fences at fourth attempt in 3m Market Rasen handicap in August 2023. Best effort since in first-time visor (retained) when runner-up at Wincanton (25f, soft) last time but he didn't look especially keen (awkward head carriage late on) and wouldn't be sure to build on that.
Winless since completing a chase hat-trick at the beginning of 2023 but back on-song this season, placed all 4 starts since returning to action in October. Remains on a workable mark and this 11-y-o is likely to give another good account.
Reacted well to a tongue tie when placed on 2 of his last 3 starts in handicap hurdles and progressed further when running out a convincing winner on chase debut at Huntingdon (23.6f, heavy) in January. Mistakes proved costly at Market Rasen next time but could have a say granted a clear round here.
Opened his account in a Huntingdon handicap chase for Emma Lavelle in October 2023 but seen out just 3 times since, offering little both starts for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole following almost a year off. Fair bit to prove starting out for another new yard here.
Made a winning start over fences at Ludlow in October and has posted some respectable efforts in defeat since. Perhaps the testing conditions were against him at Hereford last time but others make more appeal in any case.
Belatedly off the mark in handicap hurdle at Stratford (16.3f, heavy) on return in October and also opened chase account at Fakenham (21.2f, soft) on New Year's Day, despite making mistakes. Jumping was again far from foot-perfect when fourth at Catterick since and stamina to prove now trying 3m.
Built on previous promise when opening chase account off 2 lb higher over C&D last spring. Solid placed efforts at Ffos Las and Carlisle earlier this season but form has dipped badly since undergoing another round of wind surgery in December.
Enjoyed something of a purple patch last May, scoring at Uttoxeter and Ffos Las, but he hasn't show much in 4 runs since returning from a break in November. 7 lb 'wrong' at the weights.

Forecasts
Express Surprise (11/4), Record High (3/1), Dusautior (4/1), Lazy Sunday (5/1), Iron D'ex (5/1), Tedwin Hills (11/2), Esperti (6/1), Jo Lescribaa (7/1), The Wrekin (9/1), One Last Glance (14/1), Higgs (33/1)
LAZY SUNDAY earns top marks for consistency and she is taken to deservedly get her head back in front with the drying ground in her favour. Next on the list is Record High, who opened his account at Fontwell and a 4 lb rise for that doesn't look harsh. The Wrekin is not short of ability but it remains to be seen if he will be able to build on his latest effort at Wincanton.
