Caught eye when fourth in Swinton Hurdle in May 2023. but not stood much racing since. Shaped as though he retains ability on four runs after a near 1-year absence, though went with less fluency on final outing for Dan Skelton. Joined current yard for £3,000 and is well-handicapped if ready to roll.

Lightly-raced sort recorded a hat-trick of runners-up finishes (when completing), most recent of those when chasing home the progressive Loverdose (who won easily) at Windsor (2m4f) but the third has franked the form since. Amiss on latest run but one to be interested in if he can bounce back.

No surprise to see James Owen getting plenty of productivity out of this horse, runner-up on both starts in February, the latest chasing home a subsequent winner at Ludlow (15.8f). Looks to have plenty in his favour with a talented 5 lb conditional taking the ride.

Useful 15f winner on the Flat for Andre Fabre. Sold for 65,000 gns and readily landed a C&D handicap hurdle in November but hasn't looked the most straightforward since, too keen when well-beaten at Windsor (20f) in January. Drop back in trip should help and is a player if putting it all together.

Fair Flat winner who struck at the first time of asking over hurdles at Sedgefield in October. Back in form when running out approaching 2 out in Catterick juvenile in December but made amends on to score on handicap bow (Ludlow, 15.8f), third has won since. Up 8 lb but could well be more to come.

Each of the quintet holds realistic claims, with marginal preference for ONEWAYWEST who looked on the up when splitting two subsequent winners on his penultimate run and can be forgiven his most recent effort having sustained a cut. Lunar Sovereign is well-handicapped if rediscovering his best form on stable debut and any market support would be worth noting, while last-time out winner Continuance could still be improving having only his fifth start over hurdles.
