Woodfordes Wherry Champion Beer Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Off time: 15:34 | Winning time: 4m 3.45s

Little Soiree³²

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Rex Dingle| T: C Gordon| OR: 100| BF

3/1

Maiden but she didn't make too bad a start to her handicap career when third at Windsor in December. Improved switched to more aggressive tactics when narrowly denied at Plumpton (15.9f, soft) last month (in front everywhere bar the line) and her turn looks imminent.

Solid Silver²²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Charlie Hammond| T: Dr R Newland| OR: 92

11/2

Fair bumper performer who showed similar form on the Flat without winning for Sir Mark Prescott. Only poor form in 3 qualifying runs over hurdles for new yard and proved a real handful switched to a handicap at Huntingdon (19.6f, good to soft) just over 3 weeks ago (jumped left).

Form: 23-563P

What U Wanna Do Is⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Kimber| T: B Lund| OR: 90

17/2

Produced best effort to date when third of 10 in novice hurdle at Exeter (16.7f, good to soft) last week. The return to handicap company looks the way to go and she could well have a say in proceedings.

Form: 9644P3

Arenas Del Tiempo⁴⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: R P McLernon| T: J & S Best| OR: 82

13/2

Fared better than on hurdles debut when third of 8 in maiden at Plumpton (2m, good) last April and shaped better than the bare result at Fontwell the following month. Campaigned solely on the Flat since but fancied to make her mark on handicap debut in this sphere.

Form: 03-6

Sawpit Sienna^b1,t³²

Age: 10| Weight: 10-7| J: Adam Wedge| T: S Drinkwater| OR: 79| C| D

18/5

Operating below her best at present, fifth of 6 in handicap at Plumpton (15.9f, soft) last month. Blinkers replace the usual cheekpieces and handicapper has given her a squeak. Market check advisable with talented 7 lb conditional booked.

Form: 36-4365

Remarkable Flight^h¹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Lewis Stones⁽³⁾| T: J Candlish| OR: 80

11/4

Fair winner on the Flat for Charlie Hills and took a step forward in receipt of a sizeable weight-for-age allowance when second of 10 in handicap at Southwell (15.8f, good) 11 days ago. Again 4 lb out of the weights but is a danger to all if able to build on that.

Form: 2762

Forecasts

Remarkable Flight (11/4), Little Soiree (3/1), Sawpit Sienna (18/5), Solid Silver (11/2), Arenas Del Tiempo (13/2), What U Wanna Do Is (17/2)

This is tricky but the suggestion is LITTLE SOIREE, who was in front everywhere bar where it mattered at Plumpton last month and Chris Gordon's mare can make amends from the same mark. Arenas del Tiempo heads up the dangers making her handicap debut in this sphere, with Remarkable Flight another to consider having found only another handicap first-timer too good last time.
